Tweed is a textured, structured fabric with a slightly rough surface, traditionally woven from wool. The range includes bouclé, wool, summer and sequin or lurex tweeds, which add shine to a classic cloth.
How to choose
Check the weight and fibre content. Heavier tweeds suit coats and jackets, while lighter summer tweeds are better for tops and co-ords.
Range, uses and pricing
The range has 100+ designs. Prices start from ₹690 per metre. It is used for jackets, co-ord sets, skirts, waistcoats and coats. Most designs are 150 cm wide. Fabrics are sold by the metre, and most are 150 cm wide.
Care and sewing tips
Wool is usually best dry-cleaned or hand-washed in cool water. Steam rather than press flat to protect the texture, and store it folded with the weave unstressed.
