Organza
Tessuti is an organza fabric supplier offering silk organza, 3D organza, yarn-dyed jacquard organza and printed organza. Organza is crisp and sheer, holds shape well and adds volume without much weight.
About organza fabric
Organza is a thin, crisp, sheer fabric with a slightly shiny surface. It holds volume and shape without weight, so it is widely used for structure and decoration. This range includes silk organza, 3D organza, jacquard organza and printed organza.
How to choose
Check how stiff the organza is and whether it has a metallic or satin sheen. For skirts and sleeves, a crisper type gives more volume, while a softer type drapes more.
Range, uses and pricing
The range has 100+ designs. Prices start from ₹100 per metre. Designers use organza for lehenga panels, dupattas, sleeves, gowns, saree borders and decorative overlays. Fabrics are sold by the metre, and most are 150 cm wide.
Care and sewing tips
Sheer fabrics are best hand-washed or machine-washed in a mesh bag on a gentle cycle, then dried flat. Press with a cool iron on the reverse, and use fine needles and a small stitch length when sewing.
