Checklist: Before You Place a Bulk Order
- Check the weight (GSM) and width on the product page, and make sure they suit the garment. Our GSM chart shows typical weights.
- Confirm the composition and read the care notes, so you know how the fabric washes and irons.
- Sample first. Check colour in daylight, drape, hand-feel and how it behaves when cut and stitched.
- Test a wash on the sample, especially for cotton and rayon, which can shrink.
- Check print and pattern placement for borders, panels, stripes and checks, which need extra fabric to match at the seams.
- Order the whole quantity for a style in one go, so the colour stays consistent across your garments.
- Keep a labelled swatch of every fabric you order for reorders and quality checks.
Work Out Your Quantity and Cost
Start with how much fabric one garment needs, then multiply by the number of pieces and add an allowance for wastage and pattern matching. Our fabric calculator gives an estimate for common garments at your fabric width, and the unit converter switches between metres, yards and price per kg.
A simple example: if one kurti needs about 2.25 metres of fabric and the fabric costs ₹300 per metre, the fabric cost is about ₹675 per piece. For 40 pieces you would need about 90 metres. Add 5 to 10 per cent for wastage, and more for prints that need matching. Always confirm the figure with your pattern master before ordering.

Fabrics are sold by the metre on our website. For bulk orders, tell us the fabric and the quantity you need, and our team will advise on availability and pricing for that fabric.

Yes. Our RFD (ready-for-dyeing) fabrics are meant for printers and dyers who colour the fabric themselves.
