Silk

Silk is a natural protein fibre known for its sheen, softness and strength. This collection groups silk by type, such as Habutai, dupion, silk georgette, satin and organza.

Common uses include sarees, blouses, scarves, dresses, linings and bridal wear.

Check the momme or GSM and finish. Lighter silks suit scarves and linings, heavier silks suit dresses and sarees.

Silk is best dry-cleaned or gently hand-washed in cool water with a mild detergent. Iron on a low setting on the reverse, and test colour fastness on a small piece first.

Fabric is sold by the metre: choose your length on the product page. Prices start from ₹150 per metre. Most fabrics are 150 cm wide; the width and weight are listed on each product page.
