Sequins

Sequin fabrics have small reflective discs sewn or attached to a base, which may be net, georgette, tweed or knit. They create sparkle and statement looks.

Sequin fabrics suit party dresses, lehengas, gowns, tops, co-ords and stage costumes. Handle them with care when cutting and stitching.

Check the base fabric and sequin size. Smaller sequins on soft bases suit flowing dresses, while heavy sequin tweeds suit structured jackets.

Embellished fabrics such as sequins and embroidery are best hand-washed inside out or dry-cleaned. Avoid direct ironing on the embellishment and use a pressing cloth.

They need care. Use a sharp needle and a longer stitch, remove sequins from the seam allowance, and line the garment against the skin. See our embroidered fabric collection.
