Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic fibre that is strong, wrinkle-resistant and holds colour well. This collection includes polyester satin, georgette, crepe, chiffon and organza.

Common uses include dresses, kurtis, sarees, linings, scarves and furnishings.

Check the fabric type and finish. Polyester can be matte, glossy, crinkled or stretchy depending on the weave.

Most polyester-based fabrics wash well at low temperatures and dry quickly. Use a cool iron on the reverse and test a small swatch first, because finishes and prints vary between designs.

Less than natural fibres, though light weaves and open constructions feel comfortable. Consider cotton or rayon for hot weather. See our Cotton Fabric collection.
