Foil

Foil print fabric has a thin metallic layer bonded to the surface in a pattern, which adds a reflective accent to plain cloth. Foil is applied to bases such as chiffon, Platinoir and cotton.

Common uses include festive kurtis, dupattas, dresses, party wear and decor.

Check how much of the fabric is covered by foil and how flexible it is. Fine foil suits dupattas, and bolder foil suits statement pieces.

Embellished fabrics such as sequins and embroidery are best hand-washed inside out or dry-cleaned. Avoid direct ironing on the embellishment and use a pressing cloth.

Foil is more delicate than printed colour, so wash gently inside out in cool water or dry-clean. Avoid direct ironing on the foil. See our metallic fabric collection.
